Field trips can serve the purpose of breaking the monotony of regular classroom sessions, bringing in a feeling of independence, co-operative learning and a sense of responsibility. Glow Montessori Centre, Electronic City, organized a field trip to the fire station at Electronic City, Bengaluru for the Kindergarten students to give educational experiences away from their regular school environment. It was a delight to see our tiny tots interact with the firemen and learnt how they put out the fire. They also saw a ladder which is used to reach heights. Children were educated how together as a team to fight tough situations. Our students learnt that water is best to put off the fire and the firemen demonstrated how water is sprayed through the hose pipe, and even memorized the helpline number. This trip was quite knowledgeable one.
